BaaS Makes The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq More Affordable
Pay For The Battery As You Use It
The biggest talking point is Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Battery as a Service model. Instead of paying the complete battery cost upfront, customers can buy the vehicle at a lower initial price and pay ₹3.75 for every kilometre driven.
For buyers who drive predictable daily distances, this could make the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq easier to purchase. Mahindra says its BaaS calculation is based on assumed usage of 60 km per day and an eight-year battery-loan tenure.
The Futuristic Design Remains
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq retains the dramatic styling that made the original BE 6 stand out. Its sharp bodywork, distinctive lighting, aerodynamic profile and coupe-like SUV proportions continue to give it a very different appearance from conventional electric SUVs.
The new model also gets a Sporteq badge, while the Launch Edition comes with an exclusive Graphite Storm exterior finish. Depending on the variant, buyers can get 19-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, flush-fitting door handles and a fixed panoramic glass roof.
One particularly fun feature is the customisable LED tailgate text display, allowing owners to personalise the message displayed at the rear of the SUV.
New Three-Screen Interior
A More High-Tech Cabin
The biggest change inside the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq is its new three-screen, coast-to-coast cockpit. The setup brings a much more futuristic appearance to the dashboard and is available from the TWO variant onwards.
Higher variants receive a black-and-tan cabin theme with premium tan leatherette upholstery across the dashboard, seats and door pads. Gloss-black elements add contrast to the interior.
Google Gemini-Powered AI And TEQ Suites
More Than Just Screens
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq has also introduced six new TEQ Suites, powered by its MAIA artificial-intelligence architecture.
One of the most interesting additions is TEQ_Talk, which uses Google Gemini technology for conversational voice interactions. The updated system also supports features such as karaoke, gaming, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq also gets a Digital Car Key ecosystem that can work across compatible Apple and Android devices, adding another layer of convenience.
Battery, Range And Performance
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq is offered with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery options, depending on the variant. The larger battery packs provide substantially more range.

Performance Gets More Exciting
Drift Mode And Acceleration Boost
Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq isn’t treating the Sporteq as simply an efficiency-focused electric SUV. The updated software package introduces performance-oriented features including Drift Mode and Acceleration Boost.
The Formula E Freedom Edition takes things even further with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 6.44 seconds, adding a stronger motorsport flavour to the Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq family.
Conclusion
The Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq brings an impressive combination of futuristic styling, long-range electric technology and advanced software to India’s EV market.
Its biggest attraction, however, could be the ₹11.45 lakh BaaS starting price. Although the battery is not included in that upfront figure and usage is charged at ₹3.75 per kilometre, the model gives buyers a new way to approach EV ownership.
With up to 683 km of MIDC range, a three-screen cockpit, Google Gemini-powered AI features, new entertainment functions and performance-focused software, the Sporteq feels like a significant evolution of the BE 6 rather than a simple cosmetic update.
For buyers looking for a futuristic electric SUV with plenty of technology, the new BE 6 Sporteq is certainly one of Mahindra’s most interesting EV offerings yet.
